Topic: VPS Reports

Hi,

............I keep getting watchdog reports and emails, what is watchdog?  Can I turn it off?

Hi,

I wouldn't recommend turning it off the reports.......

Watchdog is a module that runs on the VPS and makes sure all the vital services are running (such as the apache web server, the mail server, mysql).  If they are down for a set time frame it will attempt to restart them. 

This module will reduce the chance of downtime on the VPS and therefore I'd leave it if I were you (and ignore the emails if they are annoying you) - it's a worthwhile precaution.
