HOWTO: Post YouTube, Google & Vimeo Videos

A quick guide showing how to post YouTube, Google and Vimeo Videos

** Note for widescreen YouTube videos use the YouTube Wide option to make sure you're embedded video looks correct **

1. Use the relevant video button to insert the BBcode. All video embeds have the same structure:

[youtube]Video-id[/youtube]

[youtube_wide]Video-id[/youtube_wide]

[google]Video-id[/google]

[vimeo]Video-id[/vimeo]

2. Insert the ID

For a YouTube (or YouTube wide) video where the url is http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CEW8L53ThKY the forum embed would look like

 [youtube]CEW8L53ThKY[/youtube]

For a Google Video where the url is
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2090856460288570919&hl=en
the forum embed would look like

[google]-2090856460288570919[/google]

For a Vimeo Video where the url is http://www.vimeo.com/2415923 the forum embed would look like

[vimeo]2415923[/vimeo]

3. Hit 'Preview Topic', if everything is correct the video will show in the preview and you're good to go
